SmallCapsReview demands deletion of all references to it at Penny Stock Fraud Info
Been very busy, but here’s the final e-mail from *anonymous* at SmallCapsReview.com, dated 1/7/05:
“Regardless of your view on our site and your apparent trolling for interest we take great exception to being named on a site that purports to have knowledge of penny stock fraud and spamming. We commit neither and will vigorously defend our reputable name as recognized by Barrons, Scudder Funds, and Kiplinger among others as a good place to get information on small-cap stocks.
You seem to use the word fraud loosely. Fraud is a very serious allegation which you have put little thought into when associating us with it. To answer your question we are not a bunch of crooks, if any act of wrong doing has occurred, it is your defamation and slander of our name.
As far as the issue of you claiming not to have said we sent spam, you clearly infer so on your site and it can not be interpreted any other way. We ask that you remove any reference to SmallCapReview.com from your site immediately.
As I requested in my prior correspondence, please send the email that you claim to be spam in its entirety.”
What a moron. Below is our entire correspondence, and I specifically explained to the dimwit that I’m not accusing them of spamming me.
Based on their anonymous emails, apparent lack of intelligence, excessive disclaimer, nameless editor and private domain registration, SmallCapReview.com sure looks like another scummy promoter.
I certainly wouldn’t follow their investment advice. And I’m looking forward to being sued by an *anonymous* person. I’ll accept the Waiver of Service by fax to 571-222-1000 - no need to incur the cost of serving me.
Here’s the entire correspondence:

SmallCapReview.com review - VDYI—Voice Diary Inc. SPAM alert
I got a spam for VDYI - Voice Diary Inc. http://www.voicediary.com/ with a link to the 9/14/04 SmallCapReview promo for VDYI.
I tried to find out who SmallCapReview.com is, but the 3 mile long disclaimer (FRAUD ALERT!) only referred to SmallCapsReview.com.
From the Contact link:
“If you have feedback or questions on this website in general, contact . All inquiries will be promptly returned.
If you are a representative of a publicly traded company and would like to inquire about being profiled on the SmallCapReview.com website, you can contact
SmallCapReview.com was founded as a medium to expose companies that might not otherwise disseminate their information to a broad audience of targeted investors.
SmallCapReview.com will strive to bring the reader accurate information on all companies profiled, and in fact will publish no content it knows to be false.”
From the domain private domain registration:
“Registrant: Engle Group
ATTN: SMALLCAPREVIEW.COM
c/o Network Solutions”
Google had nothing on the Engle Group.
Considering their 3 mile long disclaimer, nameless editor and private registration, it sure looks like another scummy promoter. Didn’t find them on Steve Kirsch’s list, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not a bunch crooks with a history of stock fraud.
